Some years back, I took an excursion through the hillsides of the Romanian countryside at the base of the Carpathian Mountains with camera in hand. As happenstance would have it, part of the way through I encountered a friend of the family who was far more familiar with the surrounding hills, his dog roaming free by his side, who then accompanied me for the rest of the day through more arduous terrain. These are a sample of the photographs that resulted.
